Hi there!😊

The weather’s warming up and so are we- we’re about to launch lots of new events, but first, a wrap up from last month…

Last month Jamie and the…

team from our Kind Café Sticks and Grinds in Deeragun hosted our first Thankyou Thursday. This event is designed to express gratitude to a community group that gives a lot. We each brought a food item, like Tim Tams and coffee, to contribute to a giant gift hamper and then we created cards while we chatted over coffee.

Other customers at the café also happily joined in. It was great to see the look on the face of the policeman that came into the cafe for a coffee!

When we dropped down the gift basket and cards to the Deeragun Police Station they were super appreciative. They said between themselves and those coming on shift, they would make short work of the goodies.

It was sooo much fun to deliver the gift- I wish we could have all been there- but I will include a pic for you to see our friendly policeman’s smile.

A huge thank you to all the policemen and women out there looking after us.

Our Kind Café Bakehouse on Eyre…

AKA BH Café also got in on the action, with Vanessa hosting another Speed Networking for Kindness event, raising money for Althea Projects to help the homeless, foster kids and kids needing emergency respite care.

It was a lot of fun and connection as always, with friendly faces from both business and community groups.

Thanks to everyone who came.

We’ll let you know when the next one’s on.

And coming up…

Next Tuesday I’ll be…

walking with NQ Suicide Prevention Network and Lifeline in the Out of The Shadows Walk for World Suicide Prevention Day.

Huge hugs for those impacted/ struggling xx

The walk starts at the Rockpool at 5.45 and concludes at the Pier, with quiet reflection, speakers, tea and coffee, a free community breakfast, and I will be helping run some rock painting.

All welcome.

10-12 next Thursday come along to…

our first event at the hidden gem Kind Café Missy Moos Coffee (at the Centacare building in Cranbook, with lots of yummy homemade goodies).

It’s RUOK Day so we’ll be chatting, having a few fun icebreaker games and making some some Pocket Hugs.

This event is free and all are welcome. Here’s the link…

And here’s a sneak peak into November…

For Kindness Week we’ll be…

Kindness Bombing throughout the community on Tuesday Nov 12. All welcome- more details to come.

It will be a fun day with lots of pop-up kindness and connection opportunities.

And at the end of Kindness Week we’ll have a…

mini Christmas Art Market at Sticks and Grinds Café 1-4 pm Sat November 16 where we’ll launch our Kindness Catalyst merchandise.

Woot, Woot! So much fun!

Expect stalls from yours truly, Danya’s Designs (artist, illustrator and local art teacher), Susanne Thornhill Pottery, Treadles and Trinkets Pottery and Maggie O Digital Art (and author and workshop facilitator).

We’ll hear from all the exhibitors about how they got into art and a little about their favourite pieces.

You can expect to hear more…

from The Kindness Catalyst on Star 106.3 FM with Dannii and Jack.

They are genuinely supportive and we really appreciate their care for our community.

Here’s some snaps from recent events…

Don’t you just love the policeman’s grin?!
