Whew! What a month!
April was a very productive month for The Kindness Catalyst.
I’m so grateful that so many like-minded people share our vision for a kinder world.
We now have THREE beautiful Kind Cafes…
Each café has it’s own unique Pay it Forward Board. We’re also in the process of setting up Kindness Stations and events. Meanwhile, you can show your support for these hard-working small business owners… by connecting with a friend, Paying it Forward or celebrating Mother’s Day at a Kind Cafe. Happy Mother’s Day to all our official and unofficial Mums xxx
1. BH Café (AKA Bakehouse on Eyre Café)
Open 7 days for Breakfast and Lunch
71 Eyre St, North Ward
- Pay it Forward to Parents with Toddlers or donate to Food Relief NQ
- Help yourself to a kind message from the jar
- Speed 1:1 Business Networking for Good happening in June (see below)
2. Sticks and Grinds Café
Open 7 days from 7 til 4
Woodlands Shopping Centre, Deeragun
- Pay it Forward to seniors or donate to NOTCH (North Townsville Community Hub) for food relief
- Bring in your unused cyclone supplies to donate for food relief
3. Mt. Joy Café
420 Flinders St (cnr of Stanley St, next to the NAB)
Open weekdays from 6 til 2
- Pay it Forward goes to anyone in need (customers can grab a Pay it Forward and redeem it at the counter)
- Help yourself to a kind message from the jar
April Events…
- Strand Chalk Walk n Talk was great! Strand walkers were taking pics of our kind messages and joining in the fun. One primary school-aged attendee said “I had the BEST time! Can we do it again?”
- Kindness Rock Painting at BH Café was lots of fun, with kids, teens and adults all sharing the fun. Painted rocks were headed to friends, family and local parks.
- U Matter by Queensland Youth Services we were invited to attend this awesome youth day. At The Kindness Catalyst table kids painted kind rocks and left a ‘Pocket Hug’ message for a stranger.
